If traveling by car, then visit...

If you're traveling by car, then all you need to really worry about is the traffic. Whether you're traveling from Interstate 5, 80, 880, 580, or US 101, you'll want to know what awaits you as you near the city. One of the best resources is SFBayTraffic.com, which provides an up-to-the-minute map of road conditions leading to and from the city. With a color-coded legend, the map is easy to read. Find out if you need to take an alternate route.

And if you're renting a car from the airport and driving into the city, then you should check with 511.org, which can help you with all your transportation questions. Simply call "511" during business hours and one of its representatives will be able to help with trip-planning and getting to your destination.
