Definition: Built in 1926, the Orpheum Theatre is part of the SHN family (along with the Curran Theatre and Golden Gate Theatre). Its design is that of a 12th century Spanish palace and has undergone two renovations over time. Now a venue for Broadway shows, including previews and limited engagements, the theatre has since been declared a San Francisco Historical Landmark.

Location: at the corner of Hyde and Market Streets at 8th Street.
