The DHL All-Star FanFest, a five-day baseball fan's extravaganza in readiness for the All-Star Game July 10, AT&T Park.

Details:

This five-day event is for baseball fans of all ages, offering interactive clinics, historical exhibits, and souvenirs. Find treasures from Coooperstown right alongside state-of-the-art batting and pitching cages. FanFest is now in its 17th successful year, providing a companion to the much-anticipated All-Star Game and giving fans an experience to remember - even if they can't make it to the ballpark Tuesday night.

Barry Zito is the official spokesperson this year, helping to promote the event in the time leading up to the July weekend. He'll be at FanFest, as will legend Willie Mays, who is the official ambassador.

Some "FanFest Fun" can be previewed at the official site. Fest activities cover trivia, skills, broadcasting, play-by-play, and video games. There will also be photo ops where you can make the game-saving catch, create your own baseball card or even grace the cover of your hometown newspaper.

Highlights to look forward to:1

  • Cyber Ballpark - Interactive attraction featuring the latest Major League Baseball video and computer games

  • The Diamond - Located at the center of DHL All-Star FanFest, this attraction features daily clinics and appearances by MLB players, managers and other experts; Past appearances have included Cal Ripken Jr., Billy Ripken, Alex Rodriguez, Roger Clemens, Pudge Rodriguez and many other MLB greats

  • FanFest Baseball Cards - Fans make their own personalized baseball card complete with stats on the back

  • FanFest Bullpen - Fans step up and test their pitching skills against life-size video images of their favorite MLB sluggers

  • Major League Baseball Legends - Free autographs from Hall of Fame players and Major League legends

  • National Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum - Largest exhibit on loan from Cooperstown, NY, featuring historic baseball memorabilia

  • The Negro Leagues - A compelling visual journey back in time as 'The Negro Leagues' brings to life the heroic history of some of the game's proudest and most talented players

  • Video Batting Cages - Fans can slug away at baseballs pitched by life-size images of Major League hurlers like Roger Clemens, Pedro Martinez, Curt Schilling, Barry Zito and more

  • Steal Home Challenge - Fans test their speed and compete against other fans in this 90-foot race from third base to home plate

  • Hometown Heroes - Stories and images of Giants baseball history and legends

  • World's Largest Baseball - 12' in diameter and signed by some of baseball's greats like Ted Williams and Hank Aaron
In total, there will be over 40 baseball-themed attractions to experience. This annual FanFest is the largest baseball event in the world.

Tickets:

$22 for adults; $17 for children 12 and under, senior citizens, and military personnel; and free for children two years old and younger. Family discounts are available. All attractions are free with the price of admission. [Tickets are sold on a timed-entry basis, every hour].
