A massive city-wide celebration of independent music, art and film, Noise Pop celebrates it's 21st birthday this year.
Running from February 26th to March 3rd, Noise Pop features dozens of local and international bands and has helped launch the careers of now famous groups like the White Stripes and the Flaming Lips.
This years line-up includes the chilled out sounds of Toro y Moi, the bumping beats of Brazilian DJ Amon Tobin and the politically-charged indie punk songs of Portland's The Thermals.
The festival takes place in multiple venues around San Francisco, from dive bars to historic theaters and even inside of the California Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park.
Noise Pop also hosts a film festival showcasing local projects, a designer fair that features indie products and tons of art gallery and happy hour shows all over town. Check the official website for the complete rundown.
