There is no excuse greater than the end of the world as we know to take a last-minute vacation to the city by the bay and San Francisco is ready for you with a line-up of festivities and celebrations designed to ring in the new age or say goodbye to it all forever!

  1. Since the whole 2012 thing is based on the ancient Mayan Calendar, what better way to spend the end of the world than at a traditional Mayan ceremony honoring the end of the calendar itself? That's whats happening from 6pm to 8pm over at the Galeria de la Raza on 24th in the Mission District. The indigenous ceremony is part of their month-long art exhibit on the "Mundo Maya", which continues well past the end of the world until December 29th. www.galeriadelaraza.org

  3. Rather spend your last few minutes on earth dancing your butt off in pure ecstasy? Then head on over to the Hotel Adiago, one of the city's more luxurious Historic Hotels, for their Party Like There is No Tommorrow combo, which mixes the feista and the posh accomadations into one big end of the world bash. www.hoteladagiosf.com

  5. Surrived the Mayan doomsday and now you dont know what to do? Well San Francsico's DNA Lounge has got Saturday night (12/22) covered with their Bootie SF Post-Apocalypse Party, which will feature some of the city's top DJs mashing it up all night long! www.dnalounge
