Insider San Franciso: San Francisco Dive Bars

By October 30, 2012

Follow me on:

San Francisco's has so many bars, lounges and nightclubs that most visitors dont even know where to begin, and for those I recommend starting with my Nightlife Guide to the Union Square Area or simply heading over to North Beach any night of the week.

But for those of you who really want to immerse yourself in San Francisco's local drinking culture, you are going to need to visit a neighborhood dive bar, which is where most San Franciscans wind down after a long days work and reunite with friends before or after dinner on weekends.

Check out my brand new list of the Top SF Dive Bars.

Dive bars are alot tlike the show Cheers, everyone knows your name, and if they don't, they will be quick to ask for it. In fact, hanging out in a  neighborhood dive bar is pretty much the best way to meet local friends the fast and cheap way.
